As I experience each day, I take mental notes of everything that happens, and store away all the things of interest. From that library I create charcoal, or pencil sketches, and focus on working out compositional elements as well as figure ground integration, and line quality. My sketches are the basis of my graphic work. In the graphic realm I begin to add color, and texture.

I am always interested in exploring the relationships between those things that appear to be contradictions; smooth and rough, geometric and amorphous, graphic and analog.
